I have a confession to make: I play Horde, and I like Gnomes. There. I said it, and I’m a better person for admitting it. I could do without the pink hair, but really, they’re alright with me. I rolled a Gnome Death Knight on another server. It instills fear in the enemy simply because my opponents can’t possibly fathom the insanity of the person who would create such a thing. And in response, they run. They run so far.

Whenever I was bored during WOTLK, my favorite thing to do was go talk to the female gnome DK npc, Deathrider Arly. Her voice always made me laugh. And yes, she has the bubblegum-pink hair too.
Gnomes can be cool, though I see very few cool-looking gnomes, myself, both on my Horde mains and Alliance alts. 90% of the time, for male gnomes, it seems to be the same overblown, Trader’s Oversized Mustache from Fable, in lime green, with a mohawk for some reason. Which is hardly interesting or inspiring, and is probably why I like lobbing balls of flame the same size as the fashion-challenged anklebiter at said anklebiter.
Female gnomes can be cute, but most of the people on my server seem to favor the garish male appearance detailed above. My favorite use of gnomes is when they’re in those little steam tanks that explode and catapult them into the air when they die.
The new Gnome starting area has to be the worst one so far. The Goblin and Troll one has been my fav.
Gnomes. Even the Alliance doesn’t like them. I’ve seen a ton of comments to the effect that “if only we could use the gnomes as AMMO” and other such.
Me, I played a gnome once. To level 62. Then I couldn’t take it anymore and deleted her.
