My apartment is currently desolate, save for a few pieces of furniture yet to be picked up by the friends and family who have committed to purchasing them. Also, my computer is still operational, the last thing to be packed before getting on the road. Tomorrow will be a long process of taking items to Goodwill, other items to the dump, and cleaning the apartment like crazy for our landlord. And then, the wife and I hit the road for California.
I haven’t talked about it at all here, but I’ve been unemployed since November, when my former studio closed. I’m happy to report, however, that I found a new job at Carbine Studios in their design department and I’m in the process of situating myself in California to start work. The strip will not be effected at all, we’ll continue business as usual. I’m working on finishing some strips for when I’m on the road… I apologize in advance if that ends up not happening, since that means you’ll be set upon by Mike’s MS Paint skills. (Actually, I’m curious as to how that would look. Now I’m kind of torn.)
In any case, I just wanted to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who has followed and been excited about what we do here, especially in the past few weeks during what ended up being a long (but ultimately fruitful) job search. It is a huge boon to be able to stay productive during such times and see that people get enjoyment out of the website. We’re still working on some new surprises and keeping things fresh, but until then I just wanted to emphasize that your feedback has helped me find a way to stay positive on more than one occasion when it was badly needed. And because of that, I am humbled. Thanks.

Good luck with the move! Keep at it.
I don’t mind waiting. Your work makes me laugh every time we get an update.
And I am sure his MS paint skills can’t be THAT bad….
Good luck with the new job and I hope your journey is a safe one.
Good luck with the new job!
Congrats on the new job with Carbine, looks like a cool gig with any luck!
No, thanking YOU, sir. Your good works keep us all a little more cheerful and amused during the dreary times. Good luck with the move!
Congratulations on the new job!! And thank you for the comic. I stumbled across it sometime last year and it’s now one of my favorite webcomics. I still sometimes go back and laugh at the Classic Periodicals series.
Congratulations. Here is to a successful move.
