the st. crispin’s day speech beats out all other pre-battle speeches. ALL. braveheart has nothing on this (though it was good). and now, the dailyblink’s co-opting runs a close second, only to the original. huzzah, gentleman. huzzah.
as mentioned in some of the comments, if you haven’t seen it/read it before, do go rent kenneth branagh’s version of “henry v” (though olivier’s version is good, too) and and listen to that man give the best rendition of this speech, EVAR. i’m a chick and it seriously makes me grow hair on my chest and shed tears of pride.
