Thrall – Poster Sized
on May 11, 2011 at 10:14 amI can now see how easy it is for some websites to be lazy about creating a contest and saying, “If you want X, then simply hop on twitter and Retweet this message!” in order to milk a property of value for its social worth. While I’m not saying we’re “above” such things or unwilling to market ourselves, I am saying I find that specific avenue of promotion incredibly annoying and I wish that websites would be a bit more original about how they went about it.
We obviously can’t charge for our work, nor can we really crack the whip on turning our readers into our own personal street team, that’s something that tends to just happen on its own and can’t be faked. So we’ll just say this: If you dug this, share it as much or as little as you’d like. It helps us out if you do.

re “We obviously can’t charge for our work”: there are Sith Lords running old media companies who could educate you as to all the things one can charge for and the number of times you can try to charge for them.
