Macklemore is hotter in person. I say that as a guy who got to crowd surf him and-maybe-grab-his-ass-during-it yay-to-be-an-actor.
And Okori, it’s a bad song, but it’s a fun rap because, for a change, it’s not about screwing your bosses girlfriend or domestic violence or whatever. The guy may not be great, but he has class.
Sorry, but I don’t have any interest in perpetuating the fickle whims of the surface level. Doesn’t help that they’re usually so awful. And don’t try saying the word “ironic” – it’s not a magic code for “doesn’t count”.
Even if you move down to something middle’ish like reddit or 9gag, the only tolerable community quirks are those they (eventually) adopted because they were universal.
Then again, even IRCs and newsgroups aren’t exactly ballin’ dens of wit and win, so I guess I just hate all unclever drivel that gets too much attention. Ending this post with some wry hashtag, for instance.

It’s an okay song, but a decent video. I think it hit #1 in the states in January. Definitely ripe for a well done parody like this!
